Investment Advisors

At Investing Week, help high school students discover finance and investing fundamentals through hands-on learning... Investment Advisors are experienced investors, bankers and financial advisors who enjoy sharing their passion with young people. Part lecturer, part practitioner, Advisors educate and empower students through an interactive stock portfolio competition.

curriculum

What spurs your passion? Under your guidance, students get a once-in-a-lifetime introduction to what may become their future career... In groups of three, students spend a week learning about investing and competing in a stock portfolio competition; at the end of the week, they present recommendations to buy, sell or hold a stock to a panel of judges. 

Most students enrolled in Investing Week have a baseline understanding of business and completed Business Week.

Credentials

The ideal Investing Advisor has:

• Finance and investing experience

• A background as a banker, investor or financial advisor—lecturer or practitioner

• Experience as a teacher or professor (preferred, not required)

• Served as a Company Advisor at YEBW’s Business Week (preferred, not required)

• Strong communication and presentation skills

• Excitement and enthusiasm for investing

Stay in campus dorms at the university of your choice; room and board is covered by YEBW. Training (before the program) includes an intro to the role and curriculum.
