PROGRAM MANAGER
Location: Portland, OR
Work Schedule: 40+hrs/per week; seasonal travel throughout Oregon
Compensation: $35-50K (DOE)

Young Entrepreneurs Business Week (YEBW) is experiencing growth and positioning the future phases of the organization by hiring new staff. We are seeking a dynamic Program Manager to join our collaborative team. He/she must be inspired by our mission to transform students into future entrepreneurial leaders and possess a desire to professionally grow with YEBW, as the Program Manager role is positioned for greater responsibility as we expand our programs in Oregon.
Position Description, Responsibilities and Requirements:
The Program Manager must be adaptable and capable of handling multiple projects in a deadline driven environment. During the year, he/she will cultivate key partnerships with schools across Oregon while preparing and executing programs during the summer months. YEBW delivers three core programs: Business Week, Investing Week, and Entrepreneurial Week. Our programs are in direct partnership with Oregon universities and held on their respective campuses: University of Portland, Oregon State University and University of Oregon.
Partnership Management and Student Recruitment: (60%: Sept - April)
- Collaborate with YEBW staff to drive partnerships with schools and youth programs.
- Maintain existing connections with high school teachers, principals and counselors across Oregon.
- Schedule interactive classroom presentations.
- Deliver presentations for high schools and other organizations to create awareness of YEBW, in partnership with the Executive Director and student recruiters.
- Distribute marketing materials that are tailored for student/parent audiences.
- Manage and analyze student recruitment database and retention plans.
- Organize registration data, track program expenses and manage tuition receivables.
- Act as the primary contact for families regarding campus preparation, student registration and emergencies.
Program Management and Execution: (40%: April - August)
- Prepare and manage program systems, including the organization of schedules and curriculum materials.
- Assist marketing with materials that align with programming goals and student participation.
- Develop content for program items and implement plans for execution.
- Create and distribute program schedules for various stakeholders (students, staff, volunteers, etc.).
- Work with various university departments to coordinate facility use throughout the entire week of programming.
- Coordinate student survey data and discussions to improve all aspects of the program.
- Collaborate with volunteer manager to implement volunteer involvement and components of internship program.
- Manage annual budget for all program expenses.
Education, Requirements and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree with 1-3 years of experience coordinating projects in a business or nonprofit setting.
- Ability to manage complex tasks and details in deadline-driven environment. Must be capable of organizing and executing assignments in a professional manner.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills are imperative. The position requires the ability to present YEBW programs in various public settings.
- Proficiency using various database/marketing tools: Excel, Cvent, CRMs, Adobe-Design (a plus).
- Capable of self-directing while collaboratively working with staff and teams to execute programs.
- Able to drive/travel throughout Oregon in order to increase awareness and participation in programs. A valid Oregon driver’s license is required.
- Passion for educating high school students from diverse backgrounds.
- Must pass a background check to be employed by YEBW.
This position is based in Portland and has the option to work in Salem.
