Entrepreneur Week Guests
At Entrepreneur Week, help high school students develop business concepts and pitches. YEBW invites real entrepreneurs, executives, marketers, finance professionals and subject matter experts to coach and inspire students to bring their business ideas to life...
YEBW's Entrepreneur Week will be at Oregon State University (OSU): July 27-Aug. 3, 2019.
Students spend one week molding a business idea into a potential investment opportunity. At the end of the week, they present business plans in a Shark Tank-like pitch competition for a chance to win prizes.
Most students in Entrepreneur Week have a baseline understanding of business and completed other YEBW programs: Business Week, as well as Marketing Week, Finance Week or Investing Week. For quality and engagement purposes, we limit seats to 25 students per EW program.
The ideal Entrepreneur Week Guest has:
Started a company
Experience running businesses or cultivating startups
A background in business development, operations, manufacturing, marketing or finance.
Served as an investor or venture capitalist (preferred, not required)
Strong public speaking or presentation skills
Creative thinking and an entrepreneurial mindset
Excitement, energy and enthusiasm for business

Entrepreneur Week is run by Lead Advisor Katrina Hull.
Katrina is highly invested in helping high school students dream big and make their dreams a reality. In education for 8 years, she teaches math in Salem, Ore., where she also serves as the Math Department Chair. Currently, she sponsors an after-school MESA (Math Engineering Science Achievement) chapter, and has recently been named a Lemelson-MIT Excite Award Winner.
In 2017, Katrina led a team of high school students through PSU’s CleanTech Challenge (open to college students and businesses connected to PSU). Her team not only competed, but walked away sweeping the business competition. This propelled the team forward to compete against the top Oregon colleges at InventOR, where her team won second place overall. In the end, the team took away $32,500 in scholarships and prizes.
