YEBW’s History

Without business innovation and entrepreneurship, Oregon’s future economy and jobs are at risk. Amidst growing concern that today’s young people lack practical business knowledge and skills, Young Entrepreneurs Business Week (YEBW) aims to educate and inspire the next generation of business leaders.

Founded by volunteers in 2005, YEBW assembles entrepreneurs, executives, educators and business professionals to guide, coach and mentor high school students through hands-on business curriculum and competitions.

YEBW’s experiential learning programs help young people build business competency, college credit, career direction, connections and confidence.

Launched for entrepreneurs by entrepreneurs, YEBW has grown substantially in its 10 years. From 75 students on one college campus to more than 350 students on three college campuses per year, thousands of young people have experienced the power of YEBW in the last decade and now benefit from life-long leadership skills.
