YEBW provides college-accredited programs for high school students, allowing them to obtain college credit through Oregon State University. For each week of the Young Entrepreneurs Business Week you attend, you can opt to obtain one (1) undergraduate credit from Oregon State University (OSU).

Please see below for additional information and download the 2016 YEBW-OSU Registration Form and Credit Summary to get started.

Why is the college credit option such a great opportunity?

By participating, you will begin earning college credit for a fraction of the price. Take a look!

If you are an Oregon resident, for a 1-credit undergraduate course on campus, you would typically pay the following:

  • $ 576.25 in Summer 2016 (Fees=$383.25, plus Tuition=$193/credit)
  • $ 730.11 during the Academic Year (Fees=$447.11, plus Tuition=$283/credit)

If you are not an Oregon resident, for a 1-credit undergraduate course on campus, you would typically pay the following:

  • $576.25 in Summer 2016 (Fees=$383.25, plus Tuition=$193/credit)
  • $ 1,364.11 during the Academic Year (Fees=$447.11, plus Tuition=$917/credit)

If you opt to obtain 1-credit from OSU during your YEBW camp experience, you will pay the following when billed:

  • $223 for 1 week/credit ($30 non-refundable processing fee plus $193/credit)
  • $416 for 2 weeks/credits ($30 non-refundable processing fee plus $386 for 2 credits)
  • $609 for 3 weeks/credits ($30 non-refundable processing fee plus $579 for 3 credits)

By opting into College Credit as part of your YEBW experience, there is a cost savings of 65-86% off a 1-credit undergraduate course!

What do these credits apply towards, and are the credits transferable towards a degree at another institution?

OSU considers these courses as elective credits, something most institutions require as part of a degree program. The OSU credit(s) offered through the YEBW program are transferable (accredited) undergraduate credit(s), and it is likely they would count as elective credits at another institution. However, the final decision rests with the receiving college or university to determine how the credits would apply towards specific degree requirements.

How will I be graded? Will I receive a copy of my transcript showing my college credit?

Students participating in all YEBW college credit courses will receive a Pass/No-Pass grade. By September 9, 2016, grades and official transcript requests should be available through the OSU Student Online Services website at http://infosu.oregonstate.edu.

Please note: Once paperwork is processed, you will be responsible for paying for the credit hour(s).
