Thank you for your interest in Young Entrepreneurs Business Week! We will be presenting in Riverdale High School classes in the coming months, and we are eager to meet and share the YEBW opportunity with enthusiastic students.
What is YEBW?
YEBW participants spend one week on a college campus and are exposed to a challenging curriculum designed to teach students that business can be fun and exciting. During the programs, students are broken up into student-led companies, each of which is guided by a loaned executive from the business community who shares his or her knowledge and expertise throughout the week. The curriculum provides students with the financial literacy, business fundamentals, and confidence that they need to be self-sufficient and successful, thus priming the pipeline for the next generation of business and community leaders.
The Riverdale Connection
“Thank goodness I went to YEBW, or I would have ended up an unhappy engineer!”
— Madeline Whitlock, Riverdale HS ’15
“My first summer attending YEBW, I went alone and was very nervous. I had no foundation and little understanding of business because of not having business courses at my high school; however throughout the week I gained confidence and valuable experience with help from successful entrepreneurs and new friends. The week allowed me to push myself out of my comfort zone and gain confidence which led me to my second summer at YEBW. My interest in business has only increased leading me to apply to colleges with well recognized business programs.”
— Hadley Kohnstamm, Riverdale HS ’17
