At Oregon State University last summer, rural student Luis Acosta pitched an idea to his team to solve a problem he encounters in the field, "The AgriFlip." This all-in-one product includes a hoe, blade and ultrasonic bug deterrent. Judges were impressed with its real-world applicability. 'Company 8' won YEBW's product presentation...
"Thank you for the scholarship to attend YEBW. I would have never been able to attend if you did not provide the scholarship and my 4H agent driving my to campus.
This event has made me set goals for my future. I am proud of my past as a migrant farm worker, but I also want a future in business...
I was awarded the Nick Fisher Award and am proud because I have never won any award.
